The March 2022 Pixel feature drop is available now for the Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, and Pixel 5a. Unfortunately, folks who own a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro will need to wait a while. Google says the drop for these phones will come later this month.
The Night Sight feature in the Pixel camera helps you capture clear low-light pictures and video. Now, Night Sight is coming directly to Snapchat, so you can snap low-light videos or photos without flash all within the Snapchat app. You can try it on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro by selecting the low-light mode in the Snapchat app.
The Live Translate feature that Google debuted for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro is expanding now to support Spanish as well, and it’s able to detect the language at places like YouTube to translate automatically. Your phone can now identify Spanish in videos and translate it automatically into English, French, Italian, German, and Japanese (but it’s still in beta).
The Recorder app can now transcribe Italian and Spanish.
Assistant Quick Phrases are available in Spanish, Italian, and French.
When you’re typing in messaging apps, Gboard can now convert your text (English only for now) into custom stickers with your words displayed.
The widget was also recently spotted testing doorbell camera alerts, bedtime notifications, and even workouts, so there might be a lot more here than Google has highlighted.
