Nokia 6 (2018) is now available for purchase in India : Price, Specifications, Launch Offers

Nokia 6 (2018) price in India has been set at Rs. 16,999. Presently only the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant has been launched, but the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant can be expected to make its way to India in the coming months.

Nokia 6 (2018) launch offers include a Rs. 2,000 cashback offer from Airtel of Rs. 14, 999 and Airtel TV free till 31 December. There is a 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify. The new Nokia 6 will be available at zero cost EMI on credit cards. ICICI bank will offer a 5% cashback till May 31, 2018. The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 6 (2018) comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC with a clock speed of 2.2GHz, and Adreno 508 GPU coupled with 3GB RAM 32GB storage, and supports expandable storage up to 256GB via hybrid memory slot runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and since it is a part of Google’s Android One Program, users should get timely updates to new version of the company’s operating systems. 

At the back it gets a 16 megapixel (16MP) primary camera with Carl Zeiss optics, f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. There is also an 8 megapixel (8MP) selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and 1080p video recording. The phone is equipped with a 3000mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 16 hours of talk time and 507 hours of standby time along with support for fast charging via USB Type-C port.

In terms of connectivity, the phone does have a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0). The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner at the back. It has a single speaker and supports Nokia’s spatial audio technology with 2 microphones. It measures 148.8×75.8×8.15mm and phone is 8.6 mm slim and weighs 172 grams.

CONCLUSION : In India, the Nokia 6 (2018) is priced at Rs 16,999, which might sound a bit expensive and this smartphone will face tough competition from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Moto G5S Plus. However, HMD Global is pitching the device as the one with good hardware and stock Android experience. With the new Nokia 6 (2018), it hopes to strengthen its position in the sub Rs 20,000 price segment.
