Nothing Phone (1)’s new update brings camera improvements, Bug Fixes, Performance Optimizations, and More

Earlier this month, Nothing OS 1.1.2 was released for the Nothing Phone (1), bringing some changes to the UI and improving the charging performance of the device. Now, users have started receiving the Nothing OS 1.1.3 update that promises better camera performance and a cleaner software experience.

The new update for Telephone (1) is available in 64.33 MB dimension and as mentioned earlier, the update is currently rolling out gradually for all Nothing Telephone (1) customers. Ahead of the new OTA arrivals, last week Carl Pei teased the new update on Twitter, saying the latter telephone (1) is OTA dope. Let us see the change log of the new OTA update.

Nothing OS 1.1.3 Update Changelog

As mentioned earlier, the all-new OTA for Northing Telephone (1) brings some new options. The company has now added an option to activate Google’s adaptive battery setting to optimize battery life nicely based on usage. Later, the fingerprint verification UI has been redesigned for third-party apps, this fingerprint UI can be fully used on some banking and financing apps.

The update also adds a bunch of camera enhancements and optimizations as you can see from the changelog below. Lastly, the v 1.1.3 update has fixed issues on apps like Twitter, Play Retailer, etc. Here is the official changelog for the new OS 1.1.3 update for Nothing Telephone (1).

New features

● Added choice to activate Google’s Adaptive Battery to intelligently optimise battery life.

● Redesigned fingerprint verification UI for 3rd party apps.

Camera improvements

● When using Glyph lighting, images are automatically adjusted to optimal colour and brightness.

● Improved photograph readability when utilizing the entrance digital camera.

● Faster Night Mode and HDR photo processing time.

● More color saturation when using the ultra-wide camera.

● Noise reduction and increased sharpness when using the zoom.

● Added reminder to clean the camera lenses.

Bug fixes and performance optimisations

● Resolved an issue that caused stuttering in some apps like Twitter, Play Store etc.

● Resolved a problem that prevented cell hotspot from working correctly.

● Fixed ussye that causing  lock screen to crash after tapping on a notification and then trying to use finger unlock.

● Polished minor UI details.

● Common bug fixes.

One of the biggest complaints with the last update was that the phone’s battery life took a big hit, now we’ll have to run into that and see if this new update improves battery usage.

For many interested, the Nothing Telephone (1) will be available for sale again in India on August 22 on Flipkart.
