OPPO will launch its new OPPO Reno8 series of smartphones today in China. The brand has already confirmed that the upcoming OPPO Reno8 lineup will consist of three devices (for now) – the vanilla OPPO Reno8, the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G, and the OPPO Reno8 Pro+ 5G. While there’s no word as to when the OPPO Reno8 series will launch in India, the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G has completed the Indian BIS approval process stage, which suggests that the launch must be nearing. Let’s take a look.
As spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G has finished the approval process of the Indian BIS certification authority, thereby meaning that the Indian launch of the device (or the OPPO Reno8 series for that matter) must not be too far away from now. Sadly enough, the BIS listing does not tell us anything about the specifications of the device.
OPPO Reno8 series specifications
As far as specifications are concerned, the vanilla OPPO Reno8 is expected to feature a plastic frame, a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel, a MediaTek Dimensity processor, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP third camera. The OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G and the OPPO Reno8 Pro+ 5G, on the other hand, are expected to feature a metal frame, better cameras, and slimmer bezels surrounding the display.
