Realme is preparing to launch a new smartphone of the GT series. The company may launch the Realme GT Neo 5 as its new premium smartphone in China in the coming weeks. The GT Neo 5 will launch as the successor to the GT Neo 3 series that was launched earlier this year with 150W fast charging support.
The exact launch date of the GT Neo 5 series is unknown. Realme is expected to announce more details about it soon. Meanwhile, the specifications of the Realme GT Neo 5 series have been tipped.
Realme is said to launch two smartphones in the lineup. These will be called GT Neo 5 and GT Neo 5 Pro. Tipster Digital Chat Station has already uploaded the specifications of both the phones ahead of their official debut. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features and other details of the Realme GT Neo 5 series.
Realme GT Neo 5 Series Specifications
The Realme GT Neo 5 series will include two smartphones. The company is likely to introduce the GT Neo 5 Pro alongside the vanilla model. According to tipster Digital Chat Station (via), the two smartphones – GT Neo 5 and GT Neo 5 Pro – will be identical except for the battery and fast charging technology.
The devices will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772×1240 pixels. The company is said to have bumped up the refresh rate support from 120Hz to 144Hz as well. Both phones are likely to sport a hole-punch cutout at the top.
There will be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC . This is in contrast to some rumours, which suggested that the Neo 5 series would feature the Dimensity 8200 SoC. The devices will also feature a triple-camera setup at the back.
As per the tipster, the phone will feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera sensor is the same that is rumored to feature on the OnePlus 11 5G. Digital Chat Station further revealed that the phone will have an f/1.79 auxiliary lens and a 25mm telephoto lens. The device will offer support for 0.6-20x zoom.
Coming to the individual specs, one of the two phones will pack a 5000mAh battery and support 150W fast charging. It could also be the vanilla model. The Pro model could pack a smaller 4600mAh battery and support 240W fast charging out of the box.
