Redmi K50i is more powerful than the iPhone 13 – that is what Xiaomi says in its latest social media post. In a recent bid to promote the upcoming Redmi K50i, Xiaomi says that the Redmi K50i is easily beating some of the most performance oriented smartphones in the market. The one that caught our eyes was the Apple A15 Bionic chip, which is beaten on paper by the Redmi K50i’s chipset on AnTuTu. The Apple A15 is a mighty capable chip and any phone able to beat that on benchmark is immensely capable.
Redmi K50i 5G sales in India is tipped to start from July 22nd and will be available in three colour options: Phantom Blue, Stealth Black, and Quick Silver. It packs a 144Hz LCD panel, up to 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a 5,080mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Redmi India shared a screenshot of the device’s AnTuTu benchmark comparison with the iPhone 13’s A15 (4-core GPU) SoC and Snapdragon 888 SoC. The A15 and Snapdragon 888 scored 8,04,131 and 7,82,653 points respectively. In comparison, the Dimensity 8100-powered Redmi K50i scored 8,22,274.
Redmi K50i 5G AnTuTu benchmark
The Redmi K50i, likely powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, scored 822,274 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. The chart shows a Snapdragon 888 SoC with 804,131 points and an Apple A15 chip with 782,653 points. This means that the Redmi K50i 5G has scored more than Apple’s flagship iPhone 13.
Redmi K50i Specifications
The Redmi K50i will launch in two storage choices :- 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The telephone will sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It can include a 6.6-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ decision. The display can be flat and can sport a gap punch on the prime centre. The USP of the system is its 144Hz refresh charge show, which would be the quickest within the phase.
The K50i will have a triple-camera setup. The phone will feature a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. It will also come with a 16MP front camera.
The phone packs a 5080 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging out of the box. The phone will launch in three colours- Quick Silver, Phantom Blue, and Stealth Black. The device will boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
Redmi K50i 5G price and availability
The smartphone can be introduced during the Amazon Prime Day Sale 2022, starting from July 22 and on July 23 and June 24. As per reports, the price of Redmi K50i 5G could be Rs 24,000 or more. Rs 28,000 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 29,000 to Rs 33,000 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model in India.
