Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming Smartphone is now Official : Price & Specifications

Today i have interesting Tech News related to Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming Smartphone with dedicated Gamepad Controller which is now officially launched today in China. The Xiaomi Blackshark smartphone is a gaming centric smartphone, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB or 8GB RAM.

Xiaomi Black Shark Price

The Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming Smartphone handset’s price starts at CNY 2,999 (approx Indian Rs. 31,100 & $ 477)  for the 6GB + 64GB model, while its 8GB + 128GB variant is being offered for CNY 3,499 (approx Indian Rs. 36,400 & $ 557). The Black Shark GamePad is not complimentary and costs an additional CNY 179 (approx Indian Rs. 1,860 & $ 29).

NOTE : The phone will go on sale in China starting 20th April. It is yet to be revealed that the smartphone will be launched in India or not and and there is no information on whether it will be unveiled globally. Presently it has been listed on the Xiaomi’s China site as well as its YouPin e-commerce site and  also listed on JD.com 

Xiaomi Black Shark Specifications

The Xiaomi Blackshark smartphone is a gaming centric smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Black Shark gaming smartphone will be coming unusual design for giving perfect grip of the users. A 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture is present on the front. A 12MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, 6P lens and dual-LED flash is paired with a 20MP secondary sensor which also has an aperture of f/1.75 and 6P lens. The fingerprint sensor on this device is placed below the large display.

The Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and two different 6GB or 8GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage variants. It packs by a 4,000mAh non removable battery that can last 5 hours while playing graphics intensive games and comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The multilayer layer cooling kit on this device also includes water cooling system.

In terms of Connectivity, the phone supports  4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, AGPS, and Glonass. It offers sensors such as Gyro, Geomagnetic, Gravity sensor, Distance sensing and Ambient Light Sensor. The phone measures 161.62×75.4×9.25mm and weighs 190 grams with thickness of 9.25mm

The speakers are present beside the USB Type-C port. Along with the smartphone, Black Shark has also introduced a gaming controller for its phone. This gaming controller supports Bluetooth 4.0 and above, and can run on any device that runs Android 4.4 Kitkat and later versions. The gaming controller can only be attached to the Black Shark phone, and comes with a thumb pad for more comfortable and accurate gaming.

In terms of Perfomance, the phone managed to score 279,464 points in Antutu’s benchmark tests, and that was showcased by the company at the launch event. The score is higher than any other Android smartphone that currently exists.

Razer, the gaming accessories manufacturer, introduced its own smartphone for gamers in November last year. Presently Xiaomi Black Shark launched Gaming Smartphone which supports DCI-P3 Wide colour gamut that goes up to 97 percent. It comes with brightness up to 550 nits. The smartphone has got support for Bluetooth 4.0 and the company has introduced a gaming controller as well.
